Merry Christmas 2012
Christmas 2012
1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.
2 (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.)
3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.
5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
Chapter 2
There was no room for Him.
Do you have room for him?
Jesus the Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem of Judea.
Joseph and Mary, who was heavy with child but all the rooms at the inn were taken.
It was such a time as this and God knew exactly what time he wanted His Son to be born.
He knew that there would be a Census and people all over had to go home and be registered in their ancestral home. So Jesus had to be registered as a Jew and as a son of David's house.
In this world we have many rooms for everything that knocks on the door of our heart, or even that which simply barges in.
Will you have room for him today?
People we have given room in our hearts have hurt us, betrayed us, violated us, disrespected us, belittled us, called us names of everything inhuman and immoral, abused us,
yet we still hang on to them.
Yet Jesus is the Prince of Peace, the Early rising Sun, akasana akaberyeberye.
The rock of ages,
He will sweep away the chaff in your life for he is Holy, he is pure, He is gentle,
He is The Way, the truth and the Life.
No one comes to the Father, to God except through Him.
So who holds your heart?
What holds your heart ?
Since we are all travellers in this world, After this journey where will you be?
For Jesus said that, in my Father's house there are many rooms.
Ebyensi eno bisusunku na birerya.
Temusookanga kunoonya bisusunku na birerya, oliba oli awo mangwago nebigwaawo nebibgwaawo.
Mwe musookenga okunoonya bwakabaka bwa Katonda.
Tebugwaawo, Tebugwaawo.
O Night Divine.
O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining,
It is the night of the dear Saviour's birth.
Long lay the world in sin and error pining.
Till He appeared and the Spirit felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices,
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn.
Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices!
O night divine, the night when Christ was born;
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
O night, O Holy Night , O night divine!
