God Breaks Down Gates of Bronze

"This is what the LORD says to His anointed,
to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of
to subdue nations before him (Jessica)
and to strip kings of their armor,
to open doors before him (Jessica)
so that gates will not be shut:
 I will go before you
       and will level the mountains;
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
I will give you the treasures of darkness,
       riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name."
(Isaiah 45:1-3)

It is amazing! After many years of so much moving, I kept some of my belongings at a Church. They were so kind my property was there for about 2 years or even more. At times  I would be so tired and so weak that my private documents were just left there for all to see! Just on Tuesday, September 13, 2010, the Church had emailed me the previous week that they needed the room in less than two weeks so I had to move my things or else they would be donated to the Salvation Army.I was so tired after working the graveyard - night shift for over a month. I had to act swiftly. I went and looked at some boxes that were open. I was amazed! There were so many folders that contained personal information from 2001 to 2002 in another state I had lived in. It was there for everyone who wanted to see or use it in a malicious way. Partly they had not been destroyed since I was moving so much. Whenever I had planned to take care of them, i would either be packing them again or too tired to look at them. That became a pattern for me for over five years.

Lesson here is that God cares so much about us to the littlest details. There had come a point in my life where I did not care who got hold of those documents. I had been beaten down so much that I had given up. I did not care about tomorrow. I was just living one day at a time. "Amazing love how can it be that Jesus would die for me and care so much for me! As I write this, I am just shedding tears of joy.
Like Israel Houghton, "I am a friend of God and He calls me friend."  "Is it true that You are thinking of me, how You love me, Its amazing!"

Looking through those papers, I have been shredding them in these two days. God know me so much and loves me so much that he knew that I did not want my stuff to just be in the public arena of trash bins. I am amazed that after all these years I have been able to shred them as I wished so.

God reminded me that he was breaking down the prison walls that the our Enemy, the Devil, Satan had kept me in.
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)

My joy had been stolen, my blessings had been stolen, my dreams had been stolen, my career had been stolen. But Jesus is restoring everything by His power. And restoring them in a new way. For God says,

"Can't you see, I am doing a new thing. Eyes have never seen. Ears have never heard!" (1 Corinthians 2:9)

Song: Amazing love, how can it be, that my Lord would die for me!....

God's restoration power is so amazing and He does it in his own way. Just keep your eyes open and ears.

Repentance Has Cleansing Power Unlike A Sponge Or Stone

Confession of sin to God, Our Father, and repenting, we bathe in the blood of Jesus Christ. Have you ever spent two or more days without taking a shower or a bath? Say it is summer time and the heat wave is on? Think about it. That is how we are spiritually in the eyes of God. We become so dirty, so unholy that our spirit smells from a distance so that we cannot approach the Holy God. What is surprising, this unholiness, this spiritual dirt is not visible to the natural or naked eye! You may see a good looking man well dressed and well shaven with good smelling after shave, cologne, but deep inside, he may be smelly and rotting! Likewise you may see a beautiful woman and well dressed with perhaps the right make up, right hairstyle and even jewelry. But she may be smelly and rotting inside! That tells you and  that it is quite difficult to know a person's spiritual state just from seeing them. Sometimes you may talk to them and then find out their spiritual state from the language and words they use.

Sometimes it is so obvious for a person's dirt and it is visible to everyone. Dark spots settle on your body wherever there is a folding. Sometimes the stench that is coming from a man or woman is so much that everyone else gets as far away from them. I take buses everyday in Southern California, but there is a certain bus route that has smelly buses because of many homeless, dirty people and drunk people who get on it. Day in, day out, these buses are so smelly, you just have to hold your breath and pray for the end of the route - 25 - 30 minutes!

Sometime we may not even know that there is a smell coming off our bodies, until someone lets us know! my dear Grandmother, Manjeri Mwagale, would say sometimes in my teens that Jessica, today you have a bad smell coming from you. She would ask me to wash my body thoroughly. She recommended some herbs that purge away the smell when used as soap. Remember David in Psalm 51 asked God to purge him with hyssop (Ezov in Hebrew). Until one washes off the dirt with soap and water, perhaps and a sponge or a stone, then cleanliness sets in. While you are taking a bath or shower, you may see so much dirt off your body. I have often wondered about this. Why is this dirt not so visible many times?

Confession and repentance is needed daily and as often as we realize sin. We wash our hands every time after the bathroom, after contamination, and every before a meal so that we are clean.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

It is only God, our Father, Most Holy who can show us the spiritual dirt that we cannot see in our lives. Since He is Holy, as we approach Him, our unholiness is magnified, and we can only get near to Him when we confess our sins, repent and ask for His forgiveness.

Yanjagaza byayagala.

Nsanyuse, nsanyuse, Yesu yanazaako ebibi.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:17)

God Is Driving Out Your Enemies One by One

Conquest of the Land
20"Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
21"Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.
22"But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
23"For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.
24"You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their sacred pillars in pieces.
25"But you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
26"There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
27"I will send My terror ahead of you, and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
28"I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.
29"I will not drive them out before you in a single year, that the land may not become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.
30"I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.
31"I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you.
32"You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods.
33"They shall not live in your land, because they will make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you." (Exodus 23
)

This angel may be in the form of a female. Just be sensitive to the Spirit so that you don't miss your blessing from God. Remember angels are neither male nor female. When they come in human form which we are used to so that we do not run away from them, they may appear as men or women. Many times the Bible has recorded them as men. And many times people have seen women and men they have never seen before who have helped them in times of trouble and danger.
mal'ach (mal'achim) plural in Hebrew (מלאך)
means “messenger,” especially the envoy of a leader or king who communicates the king's wishes and represents the king. God is our King so He sends messengers to us in a form that will not bring fear to us, but whic hwe embrace, for God is Love, full of grace and mercy.

I Shall Restore To You Double The Years The Locusts have Eaten

"I shall restore to you double the years the locusts have eaten." (Joel 2:25)
That's what God Almighty promises to do for us. To restore, (Hebrew - chayyah; Greek - katartizo). Compare to 1 Peter 5:10
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Many people especially Christians are living unfulfilled lives since our enemy, Satan, the ruler of this world stole from you and I.
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)

Satan can kill your life - your motivation. He can destroy your motivation to be productive. Has Satan has destroyed your marriage? Are you struggling, single, separated or divorced?

God wants to return your life to its original or usable and functioning condition.

God has promised to regenerate your health: to give new life to your dreams and new energy to your joy.

God has promised to give you back your finances that the locusts ate. To bring back your wealth that Satan snatched from you its rightful owner!

He has promised to repair, restore by replacing a part or putting together what is torn or broken in your psyche, in your mental faculties. To repair the damage to your reputation.

Have you been struggling all along in your life jumping from career to career? Moving from place to place?

God has promised to restore, to bring back into original existence, original use, original function, and original position; "restore law and order"; after a life of disorder, after a life of lawlessness, "reestablish peace in the region"; reestablish peace in your life after living a chaotic life, after a life of confusion. After emotions riding high and low on a roller coaster.

God intends us to have a perfect life but sin has entered in this world with Satan, as the ruler, therefore many things have been broken in our lives. Restoration - the act of restoring something to a satisfactory state or to a previous position. Our finances, our joy, our love, our marriages, our ability to plan intelligently, with knowledge, understanding and wisdom.
restoration - restitution: getting something back again; restitution of what the thief, the Devil, Satan stole to its rightful owner, you and I.
God has promised to restore to its former good condition our ability to see and hear clearly.

When our lives have been restored or reconstructed, we will look exactly like the original! that’s when you hear people saying that, “You changed!”

God has promised to restore, to bring back to a state of health, soundness, and a vigor as well to our jugdement.

The verb form of the root word is shalam and is usually used in the context of making restitution. When a person has caused another to become deficient in some way, such as a loss of livestock, it is the responsibility of the person who created the deficiency to restore what has been taken, lost or stolen. The verb shalam literally means to make whole or complete. The noun shalom has the more literal meaning of being in a state of wholeness or with no deficiency.
http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/27_peace.html

Since Satan is evil, he does not restore what he has stolen, killed or destroyed. It is only God Almighty, our Father who can restore.
Restore what has been taken away from you by force, stolen away from you, cheated out of you, plucked from your hands / possession, snatched from you, stealthily taken without your knowledge and without your permission.
Then when you are complete and made whole again as on the day of your creation, you will be able to live in harmony with your political life, social life, cultural identity, mental faculties, psychological state, emotional state and spiritual state.

He has said it. He will do it. Just believe.

The Year 2010 and the Decade are of Triumph and Victory

Our God is a Mighty God, the Holy One of Israel. He does not sleep or slumber. He is Majestic. He is Mighty to save. He is a Great God. He spoke and the heavens, the earth and the waters were. He spoke and separated them. Who can tell the beginning or the end of the earth or the waters? Who can tell the depth of the seas? Who has measured the height of the skies? For no one can. For we are limited in all our thinking and actions. It is only our God who can enable us when He has revealed his knowledge and secrets to us.
"I will give you the treasures of darkness,
riches stored in secret places,

so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name." (Isaiah 45:3)
For God, our Father in heaven, the Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit, our Illuminator, gives knowledge, understanding and wisdom (Sophia, Amagezi)

Give Careful Thought To Your Ways

5 Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."
7 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. 8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored," says the LORD. 9 "You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. 11 I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands." (Haggai 1)

God asked His people how they could live in luxury when His house was lying in ruins. The temple was the focal point of Judah's relationship with God, but it was still demolished. Instead of rebuilding the temple, the people put their energies into beautifying their own homes. However, the harder the people worked for themselves, the less they had, because they ignored their spiritual lives. The same happens to us. Many of us have had some of the American dream, bought homes in mortgage, bought cars on notes, some are paid off, have or have had good jobs, brought our husbands, our wives, our children, our sisters, our brothers, our cousins, our relatives, our friends, our parents here. Many have found wives and husbands here. Many have given birth to children who are automatically American and European citizens. Some of us even have American names. Some have American and European citizenship and green cards.

If we put God first, he will provide our for our deepest needs. If we put Him in any other place, all our efforts will be futile. Caring only for our physical needs while ignoring your relationship with God will lead to ruin.
Because the people had not given God first place in their lives, their world was not fruitful or productive, and their material posessions did not satisfy. While they concentrated on building and beautifying their own homes, God's blessing was withheld because they no longer put Him in first place. Moses had predicted that this would be the result if the people neglected God.
(Deut. 28:38-45)
However, some of these blessings have blown away with the wind! Mortgaged houses have been foreclosed or returned to banks. Cars have been reposessed or returned to banks. Accidents have ruined cars. Money sent to Uganda to build houses has been mismanaged, mishandled and stolen by those you trusted! Today you have a good job and earn well. Tomorrow you don't have a job and you eat up all your savings! Businesses and organisations have been founded and folded under! In Kampala/Buganda your land is being grabbed by thugs or other!

Give careful thought to your ways. Reconsider the way you live.
